It’s official, we’re expanding in the Midwest! Announced on October 29th, 2021, KAK Industry will be opening a new 46,200-square-foot manufacturing facility in Albany, Missouri. The additional commitment of a $7 million investment marks our company’s strategic move to meet increasing demand for custom-made firearms parts by doubling the volume of production. The new manufacturing facility is expected to open next year, providing dozens of jobs to the rural Northwest Missouri community and ramp up opportunities as the operation scales over the next few years.
KAK Industry will now have independence and control over the entire development, manufacturing, and production process. This ensures there won’t be setbacks in the development timeline that could hinder delivery of firearm parts – an issue firearm companies have struggled with during the COVID-19 pandemic.
We are transforming our operations to meet customer demand, improve our employee experience and prepare for additional growth.

“We are thrilled to welcome KAK Industry to Albany,” said Mackenzie Manring, Economic Development Director for the City of Albany. “The company’s investment in our community and commitment to providing quality jobs is proof that Northwest Missouri is a region with endless potential.”
A Word From Management
“Having grown up in Missouri, KAK Industry’s owner, Kurt Kosman, has always had a love for the ‘Show Me’ State and a very ‘Show Me’ attitude in his business,” said Joel Edwards, Plant Manager for KAK Industry. “After a decade building KAK Industry in Oxnard, California, Kurt is excited to expand KAK and continue its growth in Missouri. We look forward to becoming more involved with the community of Northwest Missouri and plan to provide well-paying jobs with excellent benefits and a supportive work environment. We aim to make KAK Industry one of the most technologically advanced manufacturing facilities in the area.”
About KAK Industry
KAK Industry was founded in 2011 by Kurt Kosman to address a gap in the firearms market for quality, American-made components at affordable prices. With a reputation for precision manufacturing and reliable delivery, KAK has experienced explosive growth as the company started dedicated production of virtually all machined components within the AR family.
Today, KAK Industry proudly remains made in the USA with headquarters in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, a testing facility In Albany, Missouri, and a six-building manufacturing campus in Oxnard, California. We manufacture more than 6.1 million firearm components annually and have long served the firearm products industry. KAK Industry also supplies small arms components and other troop support components to the U.S. government.
Conclusion
This opening demonstrates we are at the leading edge of manufacturing excellence, helping us to shape the future of both our company and the industry.
I am incredibly proud of our team for having the foresight to create a facility that will better serve our end users and distribution partners: something KAK Industry is happy to offer.
The efforts and support of the Missouri Department of Economic Development, Gentry County, and City of Albany were tremendously important to influencing our decision to make Albany the home of our expansion. Each have made the project easier and better than we could have on our own. We thank them and the citizens of Gentry County for rolling out the welcome mat for us so graciously, and look forward to the bright future ahead.
